UNICEF On Campus Flu Fundraising Day in London

On behalf of Acre And Acre Field Surgery we are pleased to Unicef on campus, charitabale fund raisinginform you that we had a successful UNICEF On Campus fundraising Flu Vaccination Day on Saturday 19/9/2015 and  26/9/2015. A big thank you to all our patients who have helped make the program a success.

We vaccinated more than 500 patients with flu vaccines, protecting them from this seasonal influenza. A total of £200.20 GBP raised on the days towards the newly founded UNICEF UK (On Campus) GP Surgeries and Pharmacies Charitable Fund, which Acre Surgery is one of the founding members of this Charitable Fund.

UNICEF Supporter Care Team has provided a unique donor reference number: 1025066603 for all future monthly submission of this Charitable Fund to UNICEF UK under the management of the On Campus Wales team. Acre/ Acrefield  Surgery Practice Manager, Vinay Patel, has paid in the first instalment of the Charitable Fund to UNICEF on Monday 21/9/2015, marking the start of this charitable fund.

Biggest Thank you all the staff, for their long-term commitments to support UNICEF UK via the GP Surgeries and Pharmacies Charitable Fund .Their commitment of saving for every child in danger UNICEF UK’s charitable fund is remarkable

Also, huge thank you to every surgery staffs and Patient Participation Group (PPG) members who helped out at the UNICEF On Campus Flu Fundraising Day! The event could not go any smoother without all of your support.

A special mention to Alex Leung, our Head of Travel Medicine and Allergy Services of Acre and Acrefield Surgeries. His other role is also the Regional Coordinator for Wales and South West England, UNICEF UK (On Campus team). Alex founded and is the coordinator of the “UNICEF On Campus GP Surgeries and Pharmacies Charitable Fund” in the UK, which enable this project.

We give our special thank you to Ms. Merlyn Ooms from UNICEF UK for her invaluable advice and support in setting up this novel GP Surgeries and Pharmacies Charitable Fund for supporting UNICEF UK through the enormous primary care network of NHS GP surgeries and pharmacies in the UK.

As the first group of GP surgeries joined the charitable fund, we look forward to more and more GP surgeries and pharmacies in the UK joining the Charitable Fund later in the academic year. Once again, thank you to Merlyn and Alex for their unlimited support to our fundraising campaigns at GP surgeries and pharmacies.
